Class Descriptions

Our philosophy is founded on the idea: Quality is superior to quantity. To practice that, we offer small group classes in two formats:

  • Semi-Private (Max 6 and Max 3)

  • Group Fitness

Our instructors will guide you through workouts that are smart, safe, fun and results driven. Come prepared to move, sweat, and make some changes!

Pilates Trio

(max 3 students)

Pilates Trio @ the philosofit Loft also follows the Classical Pilates System of exercise. The goal of Classical Pilates is a strong core, long lean muscles, and increased flexibility. A Pilates Trio is a total body workout completed on the Reformer, Mat and Tower while challenging strength, stretch, stamina and stability. Our instructors will ensure you the finest classical Pilates workout that is smart, safe, fun and results driven. Come prepared to move and sweat! *Prior Pilates experience required. Pilates Tower Class

Pilates Tower Class @ the philosofit Loft also follows the Classical Pilates System of exercise. The goal of Classical Pilates is a strong core, long lean muscles, and increased flexibility. Tower class is a total body workout completed on the Mat and Tower while challenging strength, stretch, stamina and stability. Our instructors will ensure you the finest classical Pilates workout that is smart, safe, fun and results driven. Come prepared to move and sweat!

Pilates Mat Class

Pilates Mat Class @ the philosofit Loft follows the Classical Pilates system of exercise. The goal of Classical Pilates is a strong core, long lean muscles, and increased flexibility. Mat Class is a total body workout completed on the Mat utilizing the magic circle, thera-band and weights while challenging strength, stretch, stamina and stability. Recovery Day

(max 6 students)

An original class created by philosofit founder, Ari Weller, Recovery Day will optimize your body’s health and athletic and life performance. Ari will teach practical movement training concepts that have been proven to re-balance and re-center your fitness more efficiently. He will use a broad range of recovery inducing methods including:

  • 3-D Breathing

  • Stability Stretching

  • Corrective Exercise

  • Deep Core & Matwork

  • Balance Training

  • Heart Rate Intervals

  • And more…

Recovery Day will help you recover movement ability, stability, injuries and maximize your athletic potential.

All levels with a desire to improve are welcome.

Qigong (Chi-Gong)

(max 10 students)

Learn and practice the ancient movement meditation of Qigong to increase physical and mental stability.

Qigong is a system that involves slow flowing movements and body postures with deep rhythmic breathing to calm the mind and balance your body’s life energy.

Kate’s teaching will focus on three forms of Qigong:

  • Brain/Nervous System Enhancement

  • Metabolism Re-Activation

  • Health & Well Being Re-Centering

GYROKINESIS®
Method Class

(max 5 students)

Gyrokinesis® at the philosofit Loft follows the original ‘off the machine’ work of the Gyrokinesis Expansion System®.

Gyrokinesis® class is performed on a combination of low stools, mats and standing. The Gyrokinesis® method’s unique movement signature is three-dimensional repetitive circling, spiraling and undulating exercises that activate the entire body. Postures are harmoniously connected through breath movement coordination, articulation of the spine and decompression of joints.

Gyrokinesis® class feels like a dance and strengthens the nervous system and the cardiovascular system. Gyrokinesis® will challenge your core as well as your coordination. It will also maximize the flow of energy through the body leaving you feeling open, restored and grounded.
